Safety, Trust, and Risk

What FinChip Protects?

At FinChip, security and trust are fundamental principles. The platform is designed to protect both the content and the users interacting with it. Here's an overview of the core protections FinChip offers:

1. Skill Content Encryption

  • What it is: All Skills on FinChip are encrypted before they are uploaded to the blockchain. This ensures that only authorized users (those with the correct Skill Token) can access the content.
  • How it works: FinChip uses advanced encryption methods, such as AES-256 encryption, to secure the content. Once a user acquires a Skill Token, they can decrypt and access the content, ensuring that only rightful owners can use the Skill.
  • Why it matters: This encryption process adds a layer of security that prevents unauthorized access, protecting both the creator's intellectual property and the user's private data.

2. Token Ownership for Access Control

  • What it is: Access to Skills is controlled via blockchain-based token ownership. This means that only users who hold the appropriate Skill Token (whether a License Token or Fork NFT) can access the encrypted content.
  • How it works: Once a user acquires a Skill Token, their wallet address is recorded on the blockchain, and the system verifies that the user owns the token before granting access to the content.
  • Why it matters: This decentralized access control eliminates the need for centralized servers or middlemen, reducing the risk of hacks or unauthorized access to user data.

3. Creator Royalties and Fair Distribution

  • What it is: Every Skill is launched with an embedded royalty structure. When a Skill is purchased or traded, a percentage of the sale price is automatically directed to the creator as a royalty.
  • How it works: FinChip's FeeRouter automatically processes royalties during primary purchases and secondary market sales. The royalties are paid directly to the creator's wallet.
  • Why it matters: This ensures creators are fairly compensated for their work and that their rights are protected, while also promoting trust within the ecosystem.
