Trade skills

FinChip allows you to buy and sell Skills on the secondary market. Whether you're looking to resell a Skill you no longer need or acquire a new one from another user, the trading process is straightforward. Here's how you can trade Skills easily:

Step 1: Connect Your Wallet

Before you can trade Skills, you'll need to connect your wallet to FinChip. This allows you to securely manage your Skill Tokens and perform transactions on the blockchain.

How to Connect Your Wallet:

  1. Go to the FinChip platform.
  2. Click the "Connect Wallet" button in the top right corner.
  3. Choose your wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, etc.) and authorize the connection.
  4. You're ready to trade! Your wallet address will appear, and you can now start buying and selling Skills.

Step 2: Navigate to the Marketplace

FinChip's marketplace is where you can trade Skills with other users. You can find Skills available for sale or list your own Skills for others to purchase.

How to Access the Marketplace:

  1. Go to the Marketplace trade page on the FinChip platform https://finchip.ai/trade.
  2. Browse available Skills that are listed for sale or search for specific Skills you want to buy.
  3. Use filters to narrow down your search based on criteria like price, creator, or category.
  4. Review the details of each Skill to ensure it meets your needs.

Step 3: Check the Skill's Details

Before buying or selling, make sure to review the Skill's details carefully.

Things to Check:

  1. Price: Make sure the price is within your budget or meets your expectations.
  2. Creator Information: Understand who created the Skill, and check if they have a good reputation.
  3. Token Type: Confirm whether the Skill is an ERC-1155 (license model) or ERC-721 (fork NFT) token.
  4. Usage Terms: Check any restrictions on the Skill, such as usage limits or access time.

Step 4: Buy a Skill

If you find a Skill that you want to purchase, here's how you can acquire it:

How to Buy a Skill:

  1. Select the Skill: Click on the "Buy" or "Acquire" button next to the Skill you want to purchase.
  2. Confirm Details: Double-check the price and usage terms before proceeding with the purchase.
  3. Pay for the Skill: You'll be prompted to sign a transaction in your wallet. Confirm the payment and ensure you have enough balance to cover both the Skill price and gas fees.
  4. Wait for Confirmation: After the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, the Skill Token will be transferred to your wallet.

Step 5: Sell a Skill

If you own a Skill Token and want to resell it on the secondary market, follow these steps:

How to Sell a Skill:

  1. Go to Your Library: Find the Skill you want to sell in your Library section.
  2. Choose the Skill to Sell: Select the Skill you want to list on the market.
  3. List the Skill: Click on the "Sell" button to begin the listing process.
    • ›Set your price: Define the price at which you want to sell the Skill.
    • ›Choose payment options: Specify whether you want to accept payments in ETH, BNB, or other supported cryptocurrencies.
  4. Confirm the Sale: Review the listing details and confirm your sale. Once confirmed, your Skill will be listed for sale in the marketplace.
  5. Wait for a Buyer: Once your listing is live, other users or Agents can view your Skill and purchase it.

Step 6: Confirm the Trade

Once your Skill has been purchased by another user, you'll receive the payment (minus any platform fees). If you're the buyer, you'll receive the Skill Token in your wallet.

For Buyers:

  1. Check Your Wallet: After the transaction, the Skill Token will appear in your wallet. You'll now have full access to the Skill.

For Sellers:

  1. Check Your Wallet: Once the transaction is complete, the payment will be deposited into your wallet.
  2. Royalties for Creators: If the Skill is resold, the creator of the Skill will receive a royalty fee from the transaction.

Step 7: Review Your Trade History

Both buyers and sellers can track their trade history on FinChip. This allows you to keep track of the Skills you've bought and sold, as well as any royalties or payments you've received.

How to View Your Trade History:

  1. Go to the Transaction History section in your Wallet or Profile.
  2. You'll see details about all your purchases, sales, and the associated transactions.
  3. You can use this information to monitor the performance of your traded Skills.

Additional Tips:

  • ›Transaction Fees (Gas Fees): Every transaction on the blockchain, whether buying or selling, requires a gas fee. This fee goes to the network to process your transaction.
  • ›Market Volatility: Skill prices may fluctuate due to market demand. If you're looking to resell a Skill, you might want to keep an eye on market conditions.
  • ›Security: Always make sure you're interacting with the official FinChip platform. Double-check addresses before confirming transactions to avoid scams or phishing attempts.
